Hi Hi Hi! We’re talking about why you should listen to podcasts on the blog today.
It’s been a hot minute, and my apologies for not posting last week. Like I said, it’s been a busy one. To be very honest, I haven’t spent much time at home lately. Andrew and I are actively looking for a place together, which is fun and all, but mannnn, it sucks to be picky. LOL. I’m very specific in what I want, so something that shouldn’t take us long, is taking us LOOONG. You know? I feel like you guys can relate, though.
When I was looking to buy my place (2 years ago) it literally took me a year and 35+ condos to find what I was looking for. But when I found it, it was PERFECT. Everything I ever wanted in a home was there. The layout, the floor to ceiling windows, the open concept kitchen, the space, the light, and the west-facing direction which brought in the sunset. (SO IMPORTANT TO ME, BTW.) Stalk it here.
So, I’m back on that wagon, and this time with Andrew. So, we may be like 70 before we actually live together. It’s all good though, because it will be perfect 😉
Anyway, so THAT’S what’s taking up a lot of my time these days. You know I will bring you guys in with me when we find the right place, so stay tuned. But again…this could be a while.
Okay, let’s get into this post because I’m DYINGGG to tell you guys about why you should listen to podcasts!
If you’ve been following me on Insta, then you know that I’ve recently jumped on the bandwagon of podcasts. It’s been about 4 months ish? I honestly don’t know HOW or WHY it’s taken me this long. Because podcasts are EVERYTHING and you guys need to get on board.
A podcast in the mornings actually inspires me and sets the tone for my entire day. Like, I feel very incomplete if I don’t listen to a podcast before starting my day. My commute into work is about 30 minutes. So, the night before I will look through my subscribed podcasts and then choose an episode that’s roughly around 30 minutes.
Podcasts are SO efficient. More efficient than books if you ask me. You actually have to set time aside to read a book. Don’t get me wrong; I love a good book. But if you’re the girl that’s G2G, podcasts are for you. And I’m always the girl that’s got to go. If you can’t listen to them in the mornings, no big deal. You can listen to them anytime, anywhere. That’s what I love the most about them. I will throw on longer episodes when I’m cleaning my place, folding laundry, emptying the dishwasher, facial-masking, ice rolling, or even when I’m browsing the internet.
Nothing I love more than gaining knowledge when doing mindless tasks around the house, which is why you should listen to podcasts.
So, what do I listen to, you ask? Well, let me tell you!
There are a few podcasters that I’m subscribed to and LOVE. I mainly focus on things that are important to me: branding, marketing, business, influencing, blogging, social media. My business as a blogger is one of the most important things to me. So, I’m constantly thinking of ways to improve it and grow it. Therefore, listening to these kinds of podcasts not only inspires me, but also helps me think about where I want my business to go. It also motivates me to do more for my business, and like I said earlier, it sets the tone of my day. Why wouldn’t you want to listen to successful, badasses in the morning?
Okay – so if you guys are looking for some podcasts to subscribe to, check out these ones:
