S P A  W A T E R.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram then you already know spa water has been ALLLLL the rage. I feel like everyone is on board now. If I haven’t already convinced you to get this filtered jug and make spa water at home, let me work on convincing you now.

But also – come follow me on Instagram, because we have WAY TOO much fun on there. Andrew literally wants to murder me every time I say “spa water”. LOL. So, naturally I say it 100 times a day.

Okay let’s get into some specifics here.

The thing is, water can be boring. Let’s face it. Its bland, there’s really no taste, and the only time we ever crave it is when we’re super thirsty, and by then our body is like “fucking feed me the water!!” Which by the way is TERRIBLE. You never want to get to the point where your body is craving water that badly. It means you’re dehydrated.

But obviously we NEED water to survive, and we need a lot of water for multiple reason. A BIG reason for me is because it’s good for your skin. If you want healthy, glowy, beautiful, and youthful looking skin, water should be ALL you’re drinking. Ditch the pop and juice, and Gatorades, and ANYTHING that’s flavoured with aspartame!! Stay the fuck away from that shit.

Make water your BFF. And I’m here to tell you HOW I started drinking a shit ton of water.

So, WTF is spa water you ask? Well it’s very simple actually. It’s the water you get at spas. You know, that pretty looking water dispenser that’s got lemons, limes, cucumber and mint in it? I was ALWAYS drawn to it every time I visited a spa. It was fresh, citrusy, and just quenched my thirst. I would always go back and grab more.

So, the idea came to me recently when I visited Ste. Anne’s spa, to make my own spa water at home. DUHHH! How have I waited this long?! I headed right to Amazon to find the perfect jug. I wanted something that had a filtration system. I found that this jug was perfect!! And no, this isn’t sponsored in any way! I literally scoured the internet for hours comparing different water jugs.

It arrived in a big Amazon box. Andrew rolled his eyes at me. I made spa water with 1 full lemon, half a cucumber, and a hand full of fresh mint leaves. And now, Andrew can’t get enough of it! You’re welcome babe.

Guys, I’m telling you, SPA WATER IS THE WAY TO GO. You will notice a significant increase in your water intake. I have! Also, you can make spa water in SO many different ways. I personally like a light citrusy flavour in mine. So, I always use at least one full lemon. But you can add strawberries, blueberries, and different kinds of herbs in it.

And the benefits of adding lemon in your water are endless. Here’s a few:

  • Balances the pH levels in your body
  • Great source of Vitamin C, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium
  • Great for digestion
  • Increases your metabolism
  • Boosts your immune system
  • Detoxifies

And I can go on and on, but you get it.

Another thing that helps me drink TONS of water is my water bottle. You know I get very specific when it comes to these things. This Hydro Flask has changed the way I drink my water. The simple task of not lifting my water bottle up to my mouth is what changed. Now, I’m not lazy, I swear. BUT if I don’t have to lift a heavy-ass bottle to my mouth every time I want to take a sip of water, I won’t. Lazy or not, it’s just MUCH easier to sip without lifting. Am I right?? I think so.

This Hydro Flask has sort of changed my life. Especially first thing in the morning when I need to chug a ton of water. Nobody wants to lift anything in the mornings so this makes it so easy and convenient. Just trust me on this one guys. You need this water bottle. You should also know that the water bottle is insulated so your water stays cold for up to 24 hours and its BPA-free.

Okay – have I convinced you yet? So, add this to your grocery list:

  • Bag of lemons
  • Cucumber
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Strawberries/blueberries

And then head over to Amazon, get the best filtered water jug, and the Hydro Flask water bottle, and thank me later. J

I have tripled my water intake since starting on spa water.

Okay I’m off to fill up my Hydro Flask with some spa water now, and then bother Andrew about it. 😉

Xx, kim
