We’re discussing one of the most important things on the blog today. GOOD BODY POSTURE.

I use to have terrible posture, and have been working on fixing it. Of course, as per usual, I’m ALWAYS testing things out for you guys so that I can bring it to the blog and share. This is one of those things that I NEED to share with you ASAP, because it has helped my posture tremendously.

Here’s the thing – I work at a desk literally 99% of the day. When I’m not at work using a screen, I’m sitting and blogging, or editing a video/photos, etc. I’m constantly sitting and working on a screen.

And sure, I go to the gym and get in my stretches in, etc. But it’s not enough. I need something that helps with the long hours of sitting and slouching. Many researchers say that sitting for too long can be worse than smoking!

Let me get a little specific on this for a second:

“Sitting for too long puts stress on the muscles and discs of your back and neck. This position results in tightness of your hip flexors such as the iliopsoas muscle and pressure and some ischemia (restricted blood flow) of your buttock muscles—the gluteus maximus. This muscle is an important supporter of the spine. The longer you stay seated, the more likely you are to let your posture slide. Slouching can cause the spinal ligaments to stretch beyond their healthy limit, and poor posture can strain your spinal discs. {Source}

Point is, bad posture can cause severe health issues. You want to make sure you have good body posture throughout the day. Like, ALWAYS. So, when we sit all day we sometimes forget about our posture.

Well, let me introduce you to THE ANDEGO POSTURE CORRECTOR.

Here are some other tips on getting good body posture:

  • Do work standing at a high table or counter.
  • Walk laps every hour or so.
  • Set a timer on your computer for a stand-and-stretch break every 30 minutes.
  • Park your car a bit further from your office to sneak in some extra steps.
  • Take a short walk during your lunch break.
