LIFE LATELY: RELAX.

Hii guys!

I know, I know, it’s been a while. Happy Easter! I’ve been slightly busy lately. You know, long weekend excuses. I really took the weekend off and relaxed. Gave my brain a bit of a break.

It’s good to do that every once in a while. I honestly feel like we work A LOT. No breaks. Just work. Sometimes, if I don’t tell myself to stop working, and literally shut shit off, I will just continue to work. I have to physically remove myself from the work situation. Like shut off my laptop, put my phone away, and turn on a semi-mindless show on Netflix. I’m ALMOST all caught up on Grey’s, by the way.

Does anyone else feel like that? Especially other bloggers/influencers who also work a second job? Do you feel like you’re constantly working?

And it’s not necessarily poor time management or anything. I just feel guilty when I’m binge watching Netflix and not blogging. But, in all honestly, we need that.

Shut off your brain, your computer, your phone, and just chill the F out. Remember that post?

I need my own advice right about now.

Speaking of shutting off…

I’ve been on a yoga challenge lately. Every single day, for 30 days, I get on my mat at home, and practice yoga. Except I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times. So, it’s not been consecutive. SUE ME. I’ve missed a few days here and there. My 30 days has become 36…LOL But, whatever? I’m giving it my all. When I’ve got a busy day, I don’t pressure myself. I work at getting through my day.

I promise I’m going to do a whole post on this…yoga journey. Because it’s really been amazing. But if you’ve been following along on Insta, then you know this already. I’m LOVING every bit of it. Sure, some days are a struggle, but that’s life. Since starting yoga, I’ve become much more energetic, positive, happier, stress-free and wayyy more flexible.

I totally want you guys to get on board. Do it with me! I’m almost done my 30 days, but I’m not stopping. I’m going to continue this everyday. It’s 20-30 minutes of your day. I usually like to pick a video that’s somewhere between 25-45 minutes. Depending on the day. If you guys want to get on board with me, check out these YouTubers:

Also, if you guys already practice at home, and know some good YouTubers, send them my way!! I’m always looking for new videos.

Anyway, how was everyone’s Easter? Do you celebrate?

Easter is a pretty big deal in my family. So, we usually do mass a couple days, and then lunch/dinners.

More on this in another blog post, but I collaborated with Ford Canada on this little “random acts of kindness” campaign. So this year for Easter, Andrew and I headed downtown Toronto, and handed out $10 McDonalds gift cards to the homeless. It was such a beautiful day for something like this. We felt amazing, and more importantly, they were so grateful. I think it’s extremely important to give back whenever you can. It doesn’t need to be a big. Small gestures make all the difference in the world.

Even a smile can turn someone’s day around in a positive way.

Aside from that, I’ve been filming a lot of video content for you guys lately. There seems to be more and more engagement on YouTube, so I want to share some of my hacks, tips, & tricks, with you. If you’re not already following my YouTube channel, do so!

Ok, it’s 9:30pm, and I’m officially SHUTTING OFF. This means, a little ice rolling, maybe a facial mask, and I’ll throw on Grey’s Anatomy for the rest of the night.

Goodnight loves.

Xx, kim

  1. I’ve never considered doing yoga with the help of a youtube video. I’m definitely going to check out the ones you recommended. Thanks!

  2. I think relax should be everyone’s mantra right now. And I definitely need to get back into yoga at home!

That’s totally what it’s all about! That was my favourite part on Easter. 🙂 Thanks for your comment! xx

  3. I agree with you; we should never feel guilty for choosing to rest. But sometimes we really need to remind ourselves because we tend to get so caught up with all the work. Thanks for this reminder!
