Yes, you read that correctly…I’M PREGNANT!
21 weeks to be exact.
We are sosososoosososososo excited X’s 947563065745, it’s really unexplainable…
Where do I even begin? I guess I will start with the truth. You may have already seen my Instagram “announcement”, which explains a bit about the truth/struggles we’ve had around fertility.
I won’t go into much detail with the struggles on here, because truly that deserves an entire post on it’s own. But to be completely transparent, we’ve had our fair share of fertility issues.
2 years of trying.
Diagnosed “unexplained infertility”.
3 rounds of medicated cycles (Clomid) which didn’t work.
3 rounds of IUIs (Intrauterine Insemination) which didn’t work.
An IVF consultation where treatment was about to start.
Many months of stress, pain, tears, doubt, and worry.
And finally a little miracle baby that happened naturally…
I will eventually share the details of our infertility issues on the blog, because I know so many women who are going through similar situations and feel very alone. My hope is to help someone. Anyone. Who is struggling through infertility. It’s a lonely, lonely road regardless of whether you have the best partner in the world. As a woman, I know how hard this can be.
I want to speak more about infertility and use my platform and my voice to bring more awareness to it. There’s nothing to be ashamed of. SO MANY suffer in silence.
But for now, I’m writing this post to tell youuu, Chic Confidential readers, that Andrew and I are expecting a little bebé GIRL in March 2022! And we are thrilled beyond words.
As for content on the blog – you can expect the same kind of content with some added stuff on pregnancy, fertility, and baby. Nothing will be fluffy or sugar coated. I will give you guys the real deal, the raw shit, the stuff that no one wants to talk about. (Let me know if you want to hear about how HORRID first trimester was!) This won’t be a mommy blog, however, I will share stuff that I feel is necessary, fun, and of course, I’ll keep it chic. 😉
I mentioned this on Instagram and I will say it here again:
This blog and platform is and always has been a positive space. Therefore any mom-shaming or judgemental/negative comments will not be tolerated. They will be deleted immediately. If you have something negative to say about the way I’m doing life while pregnant/with a baby, please keep it to yourself. I’ve seen many lovely moms get trashed about so many things, and it’s horrible.
I’m in no way a perfect mom nor will I ever claim to be. In fact I’m a total mess and know nothing about raising a child. LOL. But Andrew and I will figure it out together.
I always welcome advice and sweet messages from you guys, and love to connect with you. So, let’s keep this a positive space.
And on that note, send all the baby advice possible. I think I may have changed ONE diaper in my life. LOL.
This is going to be one hell of a journey, and I’m SO beyond excited to do it with Andrew. He is going to be the best dad in the fucking world! That I already know.
Thanks for supporting us on this new journey!
++ And if you totally don’t care about pregnancy stuff (LOL) check out my post on Major Tips on Working With Brands.
++ Oh and lots of beauty posts right here!

Thank you for your vulnerability and authenticity. And congratulations to you and Andrew!
Thank you Ravelle! We’re so excited!
Congratulations on your wonderful new Kimberley! I am so excited for you especially since you had fertility issues. I have a friend who is also going through the same issues who is dying to get pregnant, so I know what a relief this is for you.
Thanks for your comment Chantal! I wish your friend all the luck in the world. It’s such a hard road to go through. Hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel for her. xx
