Mmmmm kayyy, I don’t know about you guys, but since being home from self-isolating, I’m CONSTANTLY snacking. Like ‘HI FRIDGE’ every two seconds. Who else? Which is why this post is very necessary – HEALTHY SNACK IDEAS. Especially during Covid season…
I’m ALL about snacking. But balance is key, you know? I’ve ALWAYS lived like that, as I’m sure a lot of you have too. It’s not like it’s something new. You gotta live that balanced lifestyle, ya know?
Anyways, because I’ve been eating every two seconds while living that #quarantinelife, I thought I would share some of the healthy stuff.
And just so we’re being real, some of the UNHEALTHY things I’m loving are, Lays Jalapeño & Cheddar chips. LIKE OMG – so fucking good. Smart Food, also the Jalapeño & Cheddar flavour, chocolate with almonds, or like any kind of chocolate, and Drumstick ice-cream cones (daily!!)
Okay, now that we have that out of our system, here are some healthy snack ideas to balance shit out and keep things tight.
HEALTHY SNACK IDEAS:
♡ ROLL UPS:
One of my favourite healthy snack ideas are these rolls ups. They take two seconds to make, and are delicious! Basically all you do is cut up some cheese in long strips. Get out some sliced nitrate-free turkey breast deli meat, and roll the cheese up in the slices of turkey. Optional: add hot sauce. Of course, I always add a line of hot sauce on top of mine, because YUM. But, you obviously don’t have to. And that’s it. Easy, fast, and healthy.
♡ SALSA AND MULTIGRAIN CHIPS:
Okay, this isn’t like top of the healthy list, but let me tell you, it’s better than eating a whole bag of Lays Jalapeño & Cheddar chips. Get a salsa with good ingredients and either use multigrain chips or cauliflower thins. I’m yet to find GOOD cauli-thins. So if you know where I can get good ones, hit me up in the comments.
♡ CARROTS AND HUMMUS:
YES! This is another one of my favourite healthy snack ideas. Baby carrots and roasted red pepper hummus. YUM. All you do is dip the carrots in the hummus and eat! So delicious, and I promise you it will satisfy any of your salty cravings.
♡ AVOCADO TOAST:
Everyone loves a good avo-toast! Toast up some multigrain bread or half a bagel, smear avocado all over it, and then add the ‘everything but the bagel’ seasoning over it. YUM.
HOT TIP: If you want to eliminate the carbs, Andrew LOVES cutting the avocado in half and adding the seasoning right on top of the avocado halves, scooping bites right out of it.
We. Are. OBSESSED. We get the Spicy Thai Chili flavour, and OMG, they are delicious! To be healthier, get the unsalted ones, but like, they do not even compare to the flavoured ones.
This is a favourite snack of ours! Avocados have a ton of good benefits (potassium, fatty acids, fibre..etc) and who doesn’t want to feel like they are in Mexico right now? I made a huge bowl of guac the other day, and between Andrew and I, it was gone in 2 seconds.
♡ RASPBERRIES AND CHOCOLATE CHIPS
I shared this on IG Stories the other day, and you guys went crazy for it! Buy some organic raspberries, and stuff them with dark chocolate chips. Andrew doesn’t like dark chocolate, so I do his with milk chocolate. Such a good snack for after dinner. Satisfies ALL your sweet-tooth cravings, trust me!
♡ PEACHES AND FRESH MINT LEAVES:
I haven’t made these in so long, but YUM. I used to eat this all the time. Cut up some sweet peaches, and throw in some fresh mint leaves. It’s DELICIOUS. If you want to make it even healthier, add some yogurt to it. It’s also really great as a breakfast idea.
Dates are SO healthy for you!! But you can’t eat too many. I like to eat 3-4 dates a day. You can add almond butter to them as well.

- A source of antioxidants.
- Can be good for blood sugar balance.
- Can help reduce blood pressure.
- Contain a brain booster.
- Help maintain bone mass.
- Rich in protein.
- Rich in iron.
- Promotes digestion.
- Improves skin health.
Okay, how good are these healthy snack ideas?! In addition to these, I’ve been obessed with working out at home. I’ve got ALL the motivation for some reason.
