I’m not one for counting calories. In fact, I hate that.

Like, WHY would I torture myself in counting how many calories a slice of pizza is? or a Twix bar? If I want to indulge in something unhealthy, I’m certainly not going to feel bad about it, you know?
Just fucking eat the damn thing, and move on. Don’t torture yourself. 
I mean, maybe that’s how you keep yourself accountable, and maybe that’s working for you. But, it’s never worked for me. What works for me is BALANCE. But, you guys already know this.
I eat a slice of pizza….
….I’ll take the stairs home. 
I eat an entire bag of Smart Pop Jalapeño popcorn….(SO GOOD!!)
…..I skip desert and maybe run on the treadmill 5 minutes longer.
THAT’S how I like to live my life. Counting calories has just never worked for me. I’ve tried it. And failed miserably. Half the time, I forget to actually count something. And then, is it even accurate?! Stressful, if you ask me. 
Anyway, back to “balance.” I balance my life like I balance my cheque book. It’s pretty fucking efficient. Yes, I definitely could hit the gym a lot more. But baby steps right? 
Before I turned 30, I went to the gym mayyyybe once a month. LOL. Try to reserve judgement. After 30, I cracked down on myself a little and forced myself to go a couple times a week. Is this a full-on routine now? NO. I still struggle big time with getting myself to the gym. It doesn’t come easily to me. It’s something I have to talk myself into doing. Once I’m there, I’m the happiest. I get a great workout! It’s getting there that’s the issue.

One of my absolute favourite ways of getting a good work out is walking. There are endless benefits. I’m NOT a runner. I will slowly jog from time to time, but running is not my thing. 
I try and get in an many steps as I can in a day. Some days it is 10,000 and other days it’s a sad 5000. The recommended number of steps a person should get in a day is in fact 10,000.
The Benefits of 10,000 Steps A Day:
– Lowers blood pressure
– Stabilizes glucose levels, which helps with mood
– Healthy cholesterol levels
– Lowers risk of heart disease
– Strengthens bones/joints
– Increases metabolism
– Reduces stress
– Increases energy levels
– Improves sleep
And these are just a few of the main benefits! For me, walking is therapeutic. My favourite thing ever in the summertime is walking through an empty forest. No noise, no people. Just the sounds of nature, and your breath. Although sometimes, I’m screaming because a bug has landed in my hair… But you get what I mean. 
So, I’m not really about counting calories, but I’m ALL about counting my steps. Especially when I get to wear a super chic step counter.

The thing I love most about this step counter is that it’s pretty. Like, I want to wear it. I was never really into the plastic step counters. You know, the sporty kind? LOL. How do you wear that when you’re all dressed up? I can’t imagine wearing that with a dress. Or even a work outfit…
I want my step counter chic and sexy. Which is obviously why this one was perfect. It’s rose gold! I mean, if rose gold isn’t your thing, don’t fret my fashion friends. There are options. LOTS of options. And we all know how important options are. Especially when it comes to jewelry. 
Anyway, Christmas is coming, so add this to your boyfriend’s list of things you want. HA.

    Yeah, but it's $300 haha
    counting calories is so tiring and pointless. I'm even annoyed when people around me do it (aka my brother >.<) haha
    I would so work out if I was in shape. but getting there is too darn hard haha
