"> 6 PIECES FOR YOUR FALL WARDROBE. | The Chic Confidential

fall fashion - ever new

When it comes to Fall, there’s only ONE THING I love….the fall fashion.

Okay maybe a few more things – cute white pumpkins, fall decor, the beautiful coloured leaves, and soup season. But really, fall fashion is everything. The colours, the patterns, the chunk boots, and coats. ALL THE COATS.

Today I want to share with you guys the perfect fall wardrobe. (All the pieces here have been generously gifted by Ever New.)

These pieces that are timeless, chic, and versatile. I feel like the older I get, the more functional and classic my wardrobe becomes. Oh and comfort is everything.

I like to find pieces that can transition into the next season, and something classic enough to be worn year after year. I’m over spending tons of money on pieces that won’t work next season. It’s harmful to the environment, wasteful, and really not needed when you can find good quality, classic pieces.

Okay, let jump into these!

There are SO many different styles of jeans out there, so this can be totally subjective. Lately, I have been SO into a high waisted, mom-jean type of look. It can be hard to find the right pair of jeans, but when you find one, is it ever satisfying!

Like I said earlier, I’m here for comfort! And these mom-jeans are super comfy, not too tight, very flattering on the body, and goes with so many options. The great thing about a good pair of jeans is that you can dress it up or down, pair it with sneaker or pumps, and make it look effortlessly chic without doing much.

Oooh I love a black blazer. I’ve got a a few in my wardrobe already, but what is fall fashion if you don’t have a chic black blazer in your closet?! And this one is SUPER classic and well-made. Guys, I love the detail on this one. It’s beautifully tailored, the buttons are gorgeous, the fit is amazing, and again, can be worn in so many different ways.

I love to throw on a blazer with my jeans and t-shirt. It makes a casual look so stylish. This is also a really good look for your Zoom meetings. Casual on the bottom, business on top, you know?

A classic black blazer will last you forever in your wardrobe. You never have to worry about it going “out of style”. It works season after season and can be so versatile.

fall fashion - pleated skirt
Shop this pleated skirt here.

Okay another major fall fashion favourite! I have 2 other pleated skirts in my closet and let me tell you, I wear them A LOT. I’ve got a black one, a forest green one, and now this beautiful rust-coloured one. They are all the same length which in my opinion is the perfect length for fall.

I love to pair these with slouch boots or a chunky heel. You can definitely wear them in other seasons as well. (maybe not winter)

Some chic ways to wear a pleater skirt:

  • Tuck a chunky sweater into your pleated skirt for a casual, chic look.
  • Dress it up with a white blouse, tucked in, and a pair of classic pumps for a work event or date night.
  • Throw on a black leather jacket and combat boots for more of an edgy look.

Everyone needs a few basics in their fall wardrobe. These two white tops are the perfect basics. You definitely need one that’s long sleeved for the colder nights, and a shorter sleeved one for warmer days.

The long-sleeved top can be worn off-the-shoulder as well which I love, because it add this feminine, cute look to whatever you’re wearing. I styled it in the most casual way with my perfect mom-jean. But you can add a leather jacket over top, pair it with black dress pants for work, or the pleated skirt.

The other white top I’ve got on is your basic t-shirt, but WAY CUTER. I love the sweetheart neckline and the puff sleeves. So chic.

fall wardrobe - floral dress

I know floral dresses can be super boring and overdone, but I love love love this one! Firstly, the plum colours are so ideal for fall, the length is perfect and I love the elastics on the waist and armbands. It makes it super comfy and flattering for all body types.

The elastic band synchs at the waistline and the armbands, so you can wear the sleeves long or short. It dress has gold buttons which undo, making the dress sexier if you need.

This can be worn at a fall wedding, baby shower, or date-night. You can add a leather jacket over top for a more rugged look too. (Which I love, btw)

Okay, I saved my favourite fall fashion item for last! I think I have a total problem – I collect fall coats. My closet is getting full from all the fall coats I keep collecting. And believe it or not, most of my fall coats are from Ever New! They really have the best coats.

Okay, love this one for so many reason. The colour is something I’ve never worn before. It’s a sage green colour. I don’t own anything in this colour, but I LOVE it. The wrap around collar is so different and versatile. Can be worn in so many ways.

You can wear this in the spring time and fall, and trust me, this kind of coat isn’t going out of style anytime soon! It’s SO chic, and I always get asked about it every time I wear it.

Okay, there you have it – my 6 fall fashion pieces. Like I said, they are timeless pieces that can carry over into any season.

You look so good and the fall colors are so pretty! I love what you said about having classic pieces. I totally agree, its much better than spending tons of money on pieces that won’t work the next season. “Fast fashion” is so harmful to the environment and wasteful.

Yesss, I cannot do “fast fashion” anymore. It’s way to harmful, and I never wear any of it in the long run. Thanks for your comment! xx
