BABY (& OTHER) ITEMS I’VE BOUGHT RECENTLY.

Well, here we are!! Baby is almost here. I’m 34 weeks and getting into mom-mode these days. Many of you mentioned this is called “nesting” LOL. I think this is the stage where moms go crazy and start buying useless things….

The other day I shared on Instagram that I bought yet another bin.

I have bins all over the place, and Andrew is like WHY TF DO WE NEED ANOTHER BIN?!

Anyway, literally ALL of you told me that bins are very much needed (with or without a baby) but especially if you have a baby, because you can store all kinds of shit in the bins. Diapers, creams, toys, muslins, breast pumps, etc.

Anyway, today’s post is on stuff I’ve purchased recently, both baby items and stuff for the house/myself. I’ve been doing a lot of my shopping online because it’s easier and way more efficient.

Also, do you guys want to see a post on my hospital bag breakdown? I’m so anal that I feel like I need to share this list for anyone else who is like me. Like, I have Radford face and eye masks in there for when the contractions get so bad or when Andrew is complaining about the sofa being uncomfortable, and I need a fucking self-care moment. LOL. Maybe I’ll even make it a printable? (Check out my other free printables here)

Anyway, let’s get into this post!

BABY (& OTHER) ITEMS I’VE BOUGHT RECENTLY:

MEDIACAL/HYGINE ITEMS FOR BABE & MOM:

> Digital thermometer for baby – apparently these are needed all over the house. We have two now, one in the kitchen and one in the baby’s room. This is the one I got. Tons of great reviews on Amazon.

> FridaBaby Peri Bottle – so many of you recommended this for postpartum care that I had to get it. It’s basically a squirt bottle for your vagina after you push out a 87908 pound baby. SO FUNNN.

> FridaBaby Snotsucker – Yea, I can’t make this shit up. This is a snotsucker for your baby. One end goes into their nose and the other end…into your mouth. Don’t worry, apparently the snot doesn’t go into your mouth. But who T F really knows? LOL. I’m very much not looking forward to using this, but I’m sure I will at some point. So, stay tuned for the FULL REVIEW!!

> FridaBaby Medicine dispenser – This is a little gadget that has a pacifier at the end of it so it tricks your baby into taking medicine. Baby’s can be fussy, so I guess this is a pretty cool gadget to have around in case your he/she doesn’t like taking medicine.

BABY CLOSET CUTENESS:

> Closet dividers for Baby – Okay, did I really need this? Not really, but it does make life slightly easier when picking out cute outfits for babe. These dividers help you organize your child clothing by size. They come in a pack of 7 – newborn, 0 – 3 months, 3 – 6 months, 6 – 12 months, 12 – 18 months, and 18 – 24 months. I love the natural wood look as well. We are going for very neutral tones in our girl’s room, so I loved this wooden ones. Grab a set here.

> Velvet Baby Hangers – I meannnn, the hangers have got to match!! I love these. I have them in my own closet, but black and obviously the full sized ones. But these hangers are the best and nothing slips off them.

> Cabinet drawer knobs – Another thing I couldn’t resist to make the room a little softer, were these natural wood cabinet knobs. We purchased the IKEA Hemnes dresser for her room, which I love BTW. It’s a HUGE ASS dresser that fits everything! They have black knobs on them, which is minimal and nice, however, I wanted to keep the room tones neutral as mentioned. And these knobs were PERFECT. I searched quite a bit before settling on wooden knobs and these worked so well. Pack of 20 for $29.99!

> Drawer inserts – Okay, these are a MUST if you have the IKEA Hemnes dresser! I bought the inserts that they sell at IKEA for the dresser and quickly realized they don’t fit properly in the bottom drawers. They actually waste a ton of space which when you have a baby you need to maximize the fuck out of your space. I didn’t like that they were wasting space, so I went to Amazon (duh) to find ones that fit in perfectly. I love these ones!! I also really like the slots they come with so that you can fit onesies, socks, baby headbands, etc. in them perfectly.

OTHER BABY ITEMS:

> Snuggle Me Organic LoungerYou can have your babe in this lounger for when you need a minute, you know? Like an ice-rolling or coffee break moment. I bought this in the colour Gumdrop. It seemed to be the most popular little lounger for babies. Cute and chic too.

> BINS BINS BINS – As mentioned, I’ve been buying a ton of bins. LOL. But I’m actually finding a purpose for them all. A few are in the baby’s closet to organize things, one on the dresser filled with diapers, wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. for easy grabbing while changing her, and a few other bins for random things. I feel like they just look nicer and make a room/space more organized. Clutter is the WORST. Grab the bins I got here, and here.

> Rolling Cart – I will do anything to make life slightly easier once I have a baby. Give me all the short-cuts, baby hacks, etc. This rolling cart seemed to make a lot of sense to me, because when I’m downstairs feeding the baby, I won’t want to necessarily go up and down the stairs 10 times for diaper changes. So the rolling cart stays in our living area for quicker changes. Plus you can keep snacks in there too which is such a plus. Grab it here.

> Mina Baie Diaper Bag – This diaper bag caught my eye immediately when I saw the ad pop up on Instagram! I’m such a sucker for those ads. Anyway, can we talk about chic and functional? Who says a diaper bag can’t be both? Mina Baie sent over the Kinney Backpack plus the Changing Kit for baby and my gosh, I love it! It’s lightweight, roomy, and has a ton of little pockets for organizing. Love, love, love it. Put this on your registry, trust me 😉

What do you guys think so far? Am I being practical or ridiculous? LOL. You can let me know.

ALSO, please share what else I need for baby (and me) in the comments. I’m SURE I’m missing a whole bunch of stuff that I actually need. We’re almost at the finish line, and it scares me to death! But I’m equally as excited. Cannot wait to meet our baby girl and squish her every second of the day.

Xx, kim
