HAPPY THANKSGIVING, YOU GUYS!
How was everyone’s long weekend? What did you do? More importantly, how much turkey (and wine) did you consume?
Andrew and I are heading to Mexico on a Press Trip in a few weeks, and I’ve completely lost my “summer bod”. I need to bust out my yoga mat ASAP. Because I’m about to eat the shit outta fish tacos and guacamole in Mexico, you know? FML.
Anyway, I was browsing the mall a couple days ago, and noticed SO much leopard print this season. I mean, it is fall….so very fitting if you ask me. I’ve ALWAYS been a huge fan of leopard print to be honest. I have SO much in my closet.
However, my favourite piece ever is this silk leopard print blazer that has lasted me years. I have probably had this for about 3 years now, and every fall season it seems to work for me. It’s become quite the staple in my wardrobe, and I absolutely love it.
If you don’t believe me, check out this post from 2016. Rocking that blazer.
So, when I saw all this leopard print all over the stores in the mall, I thought about different ways to style my favourite blazer, which led me to write this post. You guys are always asking for more fashion posts, so here we are.
Let’s get into 3 ways to style leopard print, shall we?
This is the effortlessly-chic way of styling the blazer. You have your classic jeans and t-shirt look, so why not throw on this blazer for an extra zing? I love a piece that you can throw on to enhance a boring outfit. Not to say that my jeans and tee are boring, however, the blazer just adds a little something to it. It looks like you put more effort/thought into your outfit. You know? I paired this outfit with my black pumps, but if you want to keep it casual, throw on some chunky white runners or flats.
THE ALL-BLK WITH SOME PRINT.
I mean, I’m pretty much ALWAYS in all black. It looks like I’m in mourning all the time… But I’m not, I swear. I just love an all-black outfit. It’s CHIC and very much me. But some days, when I feel I need a little more colour, I will throw on this blazer. I find that it stands out more when it’s over an all-black outfit. I threw on a darker lip as well because nothing screams COUGAR like leopard print and a red lip! LOL. Kidding kidding. It’s a hot look – I’m into it.
So, sometimes when I do wear colour, I make sure it’s HIGHLIGHTER PINK. Just so everyone is aware that I’m wearing colour. Most people who know me, will say something cheeky like, “oh you’ve come out of mourning today” or “colour? Are you okay?” Hillllarrrrriousss. I thought this would be a cute, dressy fall outfit. I love a pleated black skirt. Such a good find at Winners! I picked out my brightest colour in the closet, and then threw this blazer on top. It’s a little more out there, but I like to have fun with my outfits. This is a good outfit for when you have to run to an event after work. Which is me all the time. I need something good for the afternoon AND evening. Because we’re efficient like that.
Ok, there it is. 3 ways you can incorporate some sexy leopard print in your daily outfits. It’s a BOLD print, but like, own in.
Unfortunately, I bought this blazer 3 years ago, so it doesn’t exist anymore, but I did find you guys some similar ones:
Ok, onto another note – who is watching The Sinner on Netflix. OMG, that show has got me hooked. Andrew and I started it last night, and we’re obsessed. Jessica Biel is AH-MAZING in it. RUNNNNN to Netflix if you need a new show, and binge watch the shit out of it.
