Hi Hi Hi!
So, the other day I did an Insta-story on Jade rolling and then I asked you guys if you wanted a full on blog post/video on this. ALL of you voted YESSSS on getting more info about this, so here I am. You know I love testing shit out for you guys and reporting back. If it’s working for me, I will always share on the blog.
Let’s talk about Jade rolling because you ALL NEED TO GET ON BOARD ASAP.
And I know what you’re thinking….”yet another facial gadget to add to my nightly routine, ugh!”
WELL, this is your face we’re talking about. Like, would you rather age??? Probs not, right?
With that said, get on board with ice rolling, facials, weekly facial masks, and now jade rolling.
Because when you’re getting ID’d at 35, you’ll remember this blog post and me telling you that you need to get on board with facial gadgets. It’s important! It’s similar to working out your body. When you work out, you’re getting your body into shape. When you work out your face, you’re improving the health of your skin.
I’ve outlined everything you need to know about the Jade roller in this video below. And in case you’re not a video watcher, I’ve got you covered below.
Two ways to use your Jade roller:
- UPWARD MOTION:
Using your Jade roller in a upward motion increases the blood flow in your face, which boosts collagen and therefore helps with anti-aging. YES. We all want youthful skin.
2. DOWNWARD MOTION:
Using your Jade roller in a downward motion helps with lymphatic drainage, which helps with bloating, swelling, or puffiness in the face or around the eyes.
I like to use my Jade roller right before I go to bed. After I’ve cleansed my face thoroughly, I’ll either use coconut oil or a serum all over my face and then jade roll. This helps to really get the serums right into my skin as well. Then I’ll moisturize all over to seal it in.
Jade is associated with protecting against negative energy and balancing your chi (or qi), your body’s energetic life force. According to Chinese medicine, any number of physical and mental symptoms from anxiety to fatigue to actual pain can indicate that your qi is out of place. Acupuncture and jade rolling can help with this. Obviously other self-care practices like eating healthy, sleeping well, and taking time for yourself can also help with this.
Speaking of self-care, have you read my blog post on that? It’s a must.
Okay – are you already Jade rolling?? TELL US. Do you love?
What other weird shit would you guys like to see me test out? Send recos!
