It’s been a minute…really. I feel like with this amazing hot weather, I’ve really neglected the blog lately. I’ve been spending most of my time outdoors. Nothing makes my soul shine more than when it’s blazing hot outside and the sun is shining.
I know I know, global warming, blah blah blah….
There’s nothing I can do at the moment, so I’m just going to STFU and take in the heat, because sooooon, we’ll be in parkas, and I’ll be hibernating for the winter. 🙁
Okay, so what’s going on? How’s everyone?
Last week, as you guys know I was filming a little vlog. I teamed up with Meridian Credit Union on a campaign they are promoting. Basically, this is bringing awareness to millennials and their spending habits. I was only allowed to spend $20/day for 5 days. Mannnnnn, is it ever challenging! I mean, some days you spend no money. Maybe JUST on a coffee. And other days, you forget your breakfast at home and have to buy it, it’s Susie’s birthday at work so everyone’s lunching, and all of a sudden you have a craving for fall décor items at HomeSense and NEED everything!! There goes $60 bucks…
It’s fucking hard.
In fact, you guys should ALL try this challenge. Try spending ONLY $20/day for a week, and let me know how that works out for you.
Saturday was another gorgeous afternoon! I stopped into Infuse Med Spa for a quick laser hair removal treatment. If you guys haven’t read the post, check it out here. After that, I had lunch with a couple of my favourite girlfriends at 7West in Toronto. I love, love, love the food and vibes at 7West. If you haven’t been, you need to go! Their pastas are always on point, btw. I had a penne pasta in a Mediterranean tomato sauce with assorted veggies, feta cheese & Kalamata olives. Highly recommend this. Their portions also feed a small family of four, so you’ll have leftovers for at least two days.
I spent the rest of the afternoon walking some trails in a small park. If I could live my perfect life, it would entail warm walks/hikes in different parks everyday and then coming home to rosé wine and home cooked pasta. Is there anything better?
