As a blogger, I’m CONSTANTLY on my phone or iPad for one reason or another. For me, it’s more my Samsung phone. I know, I’m not an iPhone-er. SHOCKING right? I’ll leave that alone for now. LOL.
If you’re not a full-time blogger, like myself, you need apps that will help you manage your time. We’re always either, checking emails, planning a post, making notes, scheduling tweets, posting Instagram photos, etc. It NEVER stops.
However, good apps let you actually have a life. Here are a few I LOVE and can’t live without.
VSCO: There are tons, and I mean TONS of photo editing apps out there. I’ve tried almost all of them, and found that VSCO works the best for me. It’s easy to use, and has some amazing features. I don’t care for complicated photo editing programs. I need something quick, easy, and efficient. Something that will take me 10 seconds to edit and share on social media. Because, that’s about all the time I have…
This app is also great because it allows you view your photos in VSCO as though it was your Insta-feed, so that you can preview what your feed looks like. I can’t stress how important it is to be consistent with your social media. I know this is a whole other topic of discussion, and possibly a full blog post down the road?
But, as a side note, every single picture I post on my Instagram is carefully thought-out and edited to look consistent.
Bit.ly:This one is for shortening links. SO GOOD. You don’t always have access to a laptop when it comes to sharing your blog post. Bit.ly is great for shortening those long blog post links and sharing them on Twitter or Instagram.
Scheduling tweets is one of my least favourite things to do! But, as a blogger, it needs to be done. Especially if blogging isn’t your full-time gig. I’m at work from 9-5 most days, and don’t have time to go on Twitter to be sharing my favourite mascara or my recent blog posts. I need to schedule these. Timing for tweets, Instagram photos, etc, are KEY. You want to make sure your scheduling them strategically. When are your followers most active on social? Figure this out and tweet accordingly.
Or any good ‘notes’ app, really. This is SO important as a blogger. When you have an idea for a blog post, thoughts, inspirations that come to mind, photos, quotes, etc., you need to immediately jot it down somewhere. I love that with this app, you can quickly take photos as well. It’s so well organized and thorough.
I know there are a TON more apps that are great for bloggers. These are the four that I think are working well for me, so obviously I had to share them.
What are you guys using? I’m always looking to add to my app collection…so share some of your favourite apps that you guys can’t live without as bloggers!
And on another note, is it Spring yet?? I’m getting tired of switching from Winter jackets to Spring jackets. I’m ready to bust out my lighter coats, off-white bags, and sandals. Too soon for sandals?
