First post of Twenty-Seventeen!
Well, this is exciting. I hope everyone had a fabulous New Years, and spent it with people they love.
If you guys don’t already know, I’m an events coordinator, so my celebration on NYE was really all about the people attending the event that my team and I put on. For me, it’s the best way to spend NYE. None of this pressure of what to do, what to wear, what to drink, who’s coming, etc..
It’s very casual for me, and if you were following on Snapchat
, then you know just how casual it was. No sequins dresses. No champagne. Just a bunch of event planners doing what we do best. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Really.
How did you guys celebrate? Any juicy stories? Do tell.
Christmas was also very low key. Lot’s of family get together’s, and LOTS of wine. I spent some time in Niagara in a small and quiet town. It was lovely to get away from the city for a bit. Ate and drank wayyy too much. But, that’s what the holidays are for, right? On that note, has anyone ever gone on a juice cleanse? If so, let me know! I’d love to try one of those out. I also plan on giving my body a break from drinking for the month of January. Kinda goes hand-in-hand with the juice cleanse, no? Thoughts?
I’ve taken the last few days to relax, recoup, and reflect. Especially on how 2016 went. It was SUCH a great year for The Chic Confidential.
I really want to thank YOU GUYS. The Chic Confidential would really be nothing if it wasn’t for you. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many amazing people/companies this year, and I’m so grateful for that! This has been a year full of great content, and I intend on bringing you even more content this year.
Many of you have actually reached out to let me know what you’d like to see more of on the blog. THANK YOU. Thank you for engaging. Let me know what you guys like! More fashion? More beauty? More wellness?? Recipes? Let me know.
My biggest highlight this year would have to be my condo purchase
! It was a huge accomplishment and it’s been wonderful! I know I shared every step of the way with you guys, so thank you again for being a part of this with me. Your tips, advice, & comments have been AMAZING. Also, Snapchat was an added thing this year which kinda brought me closer to you guys. I know, that sounds really weird, right? But in a totally weird way, it did. It’s almost like reality TV. But better? LOL. I got to interact one on one with you guys about everything. Beauty tips, recipes, healthy habits, product reviews, fashion tips, home decor, etc. I LOVE interacting with you guys. It’s so much more personal. If we aren’t already snapchat
friends, let’s connect asap! Trust me when I say, it’s much
more fun over there.
Anyway, on a totally different note, let’s talk about this gorggg camel coat
. It’s not the warmest coat in my closet, but honestly, I love it. It’s not something I’m going to go snowshoeing in…(not that I snowshoe or anything) but I’ll definitely throw it over a dress for an (indoor) event. It’s super fall-ish, I know. But with the right layers, this can be done in the winter. The colour and cut are my absolute fave! I love to stick to neutrals in the winter. I’m not so much of a colour gal. Little pops of colours are great, but give me an all-black moment, and I’m golden. Always.
The best part about this coat? It’s on SALE!
Okay, I’m off to think about some New Year’s resolutions. I like to make a list and actually write them down. I’ll share once I’ve thought about them.
