Yes, I’m FINALLY accepting that summer is coming to an end…
Don’t get me wrong. I’m slightly obsessed with fall fashion. All that faux fur, knee-high suede boots, trench coats, and toques. VERY. EXCITED.
But, I’m a summer gal at heart. I have a summer birthday, and was born and (kinda) grew up in one of the hottest cities in the world, Dubai. So, can you blame me for loving the heat?
Now, winter is a whole other topic I DON’T want to get into. Or maybe it’s another blog all together. Titled, ‘Winter Blues.’ Haha. Because the HATE for winter, runs deeeep.
Is anyone else this way? I mean, I know LOTS of you sayyyy you hate winter, but then you go and snowboard and ski…and have a shit ton of fun doing it. There is legit NO winter jacket warm enough to get me out on the slopes. SERIOUSLY.
Anyway, let’s leave winter talks for another day, shall we?
Becauseee, there’s still three FULL days of summer left.
So, let’s talk about this FANTASTIC summer dress!
So cute, so chic, and SO on sale!
I love how versatile it is. It can be a totally casual outfit worn with white sneakers. Remember my post on dresses and white sneakers? Hot right?
I went in a slightly more dressed up direction, here. I’m also obsessed with these shoes I bought on my travels in Australia. They are one of my most comfiest pairs of shoes I own, and not to mention the hottest.
I’m also loving how sexy the dress can be with a huge slit up the middle. No, the buttons don’t go all the way down. I threw on a simple, black tank under the dress, but hey, your choice completely. You can get as flirty with it as you want.
Point is, I’m not over summer yet, and I’m still wearing summer dresses till I can.
Who’s with me?
Okay, on another note, how was everyone’s weekend?
A few of you were inquiring about the way I drink my coffee. I had Snapped/Instagramed my little espresso Moka pot, which is one of those old school Italian stove top machines. And if you haven’t tried espresso out of those, you need to RUN, not walk, and get yourself one of those, because trust me when I say, it’s a game changer.
Any coffee lover will tell you. I don’t always have time to do this during the week, which is why I fully enjoy this on weekends.
If you guys want, I’ll do a little post on it.
I’ve also recently been introduced to the french press. Also total game changer.
My biggest struggle on a Saturday morning is deciding whether I want to have my coffee from the Moka pot or the french presser. Tough life 😉
I have been non-stop this evening. So, I’m calling it a night. Exhaustion has hit me.
Time for some light reading and possibly some peppermint tea.
Ps. You guys always have great recos on books. Suggest some, because I’m on the hunt for some new reading material.
