Happy Wednesday! The week is half over.
Just a quick mid-week post. There are lots of exciting things coming up on The Chic Confidential soon, so stay tuned! Including a holiday gift guide!! If you are anything like me, you’ve already started (and almost finished) your Christmas shopping. I’m not someone who’s tough enough to face the mall during the holidays. I try and stay away as much as possible. I’ve also become obsessed with ordering pretty much everything online. Don’t get me wrong…I love a little cardio at the mall, but there’s just something about receiving boxes at your doorstep. It’s like a present to yourself, every time! Amirite?? ….Or is it just me?
I made the most delicious Greek chickpea salad last weekend! It’s literally the easiest dish to make and SO healthy! All it really is, is a can of chickpeas, kalamata olives, cucumber, red and yellow peppers, roma tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese, and cilantro all tossed in EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), lemon juice (like the real lemon, not that bottled shit), salt and pepper to taste and dried oregano.
Ugh, SO good. I have been eating this non stop.
This week on the blog I wrapped up Toronto Fashion Week with my lovely blogger gal Anna from Struckblog! If you didn’t catch the blogs, they are here and here. I have been a little bit obsessed with this scarf and hat lately. Been wearing it everywhere. I mean, it is hat weather here, so why not?
Fall has been absolutely lovely here in Toronto! I can’t get enough of the beauty, and my phone seriously has no more space for anymore of my nature photos…it’s done. Haha. I snapped this beauty on a mid-day break from work. The weather has been incredible and perrrrfect for afternoon strolls. (Yes, I sound like an 80 year old grandma.)
Last weekend I also attended my cousin’s wedding, which was one of the most stunning weddings I’ve seen. It took place at the King Edward Hotel (which I totally recommend btw!), and was overall just beautiful! I wore this very last minute, but great find, dress from H&M, and paired with leopard print shoes. Duh.
Halloween. I promised you guys I would share some photos from my halloween weekend, so here it is. I did the Black Swan. Who remembers the tulle skirt? Yes, it’s the one I wore in Paris. I was dying to wear it again, so I had to think of something that worked around the skirt. So the Black Swan it was! See past Halloween costumes here.
Okay, I’m off to a foodie/cooking event later, so be sure to follow along on Snapchat: kim-marquis. This should be fun. Me + cooking…can’t wait!
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!
