January 17, 2018

Well, hello 2018.

There’s nothing like a New Year’s post two and a half weeks into the New Year. But in my defense, I was vacationing.
Is anyone else exhausted though? I know I really shouldn’t be complaining, but I feel like no matter where you are over the holidays, you always come back feeling more exhausted.
The holidays do that shit to you.
Anyways, I’m PUMPED to be back in business. Ready to take on 2018 and bring you guys the best of the best on the blog this year. I’m talking more wellness posts, more beauty content, and definitely more video this year. Stay tuned, because I’m really excited. What do you guys want to see more of on the blog? Share, I’d LOVE to know.
So, my vacation was amazing. I mean, there’s LOTS to tell, so I’ll leave the details for a blog post. I do intend on putting together a FULL blog post on the details of Sri Lanka. There’s so much you guys need to know. But overall, the sunshine, the beaches, spending time with my family, and consuming the most delicious foods was just heaven on earth. Like, I couldn’t have asked for a better 3 weeks. We ate everything! Drank everything too.
It’s looking like the rest of January will be a sober one. I did the same thing last year, and gave my body a break from alcohol for the month of Jan. It felt amazing to just drink water…haha.
The holidays can take such a toll on your body. I mean, with all the parties, you don’t even realize how much alcohol you’re consuming. So, it’s nice when you can be kind to your body, and give it a much needed break.
Who wants to do this with me? Yes, no?

Okay, do you guys do New Year’s Resolutions? Who still does this? I mean, I love a good list. We all know this. If you guys have read any of my past ‘New Year’s’ posts, you already know that I love to sit and think about some good resolutions. There’s something very satisfying about sitting with a cup of peppermint tea, possibly an Evergreen Bath & Body Works lit candle, and jotting down your goals for 2018.
This isn’t something that I just do every January, BTW. It’s ongoing. I mean, as a blogger, my goals are constantly evolving. New ideas come to mind, and they need to be executed. And for them to be properly executed, you need a plan. And that plan begins with a goal in mind.
So, grab a cute notebook from Indigo. They have TONS! And just put down your thoughts on paper. You may think that writing it down is just a waste of time (and paper) but believe me when I say, it helps to write things down. You somehow feel more accountable to accomplish things.
Let me tell you – NOTHING is more satisfying than crossing things of a list.
I sat down before leaving on my vacation and looked at my 2017 list of resolutions. I had crossed of everything I wrote down.
I’m yet to create my 2018 list of resolutions, but I’m really looking forward to that moment.

Okay, how was everyone’s Christmas/NYE? Did you guys take a break?

I’m looking forward to sharing my vacation details with you, but if you were following along on Insta-stories, then you would’ve seen most of it 🙂

Xx, kim
