It’s been a HOT MINUTE. A full week to be exact…
I thought about putting out some blog posts while I was on vacation, and then I said, f*ck it, and continued laying on the beach. I decided to give myself a good break from everything. We all need it sometimes and it was time to take a bit of a break.
Not only from blogging, but social media in general. Not by choice though…let me explain.
I was on a one week cruise with my parents. First time cruiser over here. We travelled to Honduras, Belize, and two islands in Mexico, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Little did I know, that the ship did not have free wifi. WTF?! Who doesn’t have free wifi these days? Are we not in 2017…?
We legit had to pay for wifi…And like, it wasn’t cheap. So, my sister and I purchased the 250 minutes plan. And by that, I don’t mean 250 mins per day plan. I mean, 250 mins FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK PLAN! So, divide this by the two of us and 7 days, and it came down to 17.6 minutes of internet per day. PER DAY.
So, in 17.6 fucking minutes, I had to check emails, respond only to the important ones, text a few people at home so they don’t think I’m dead, send through all my snapchats and insta-stories, and if I was lucky, I got to post a photo on Instagram. Do you guys know how much stress + anxiety that is for a blogger? Lol. I know, I know, first world problems right?
Anyway, that was the real reason I took a break from social media (kind of). I was still able to connect with you guys and bring you along on the trip. Which is what I love doing. Disappearing for a week isn’t really my thing. It doesn’t give me peace of mind. As I mentioned before, being a blogger to me is all about sharing parts of my life with you guys and bringing you along. So, I’m at peace when I can share what’s happening in my life and connect with you guys.
Taking a break from blogging was good. It brought me fresh ideas and new things to share on the blog.

So, what’s happening with you guys? What’s new? What did I miss? Share share!
How many of you have been on a cruise before?
I thought I would share a few photos from my trip as a little sneak peek. To be honest, I didn’t take a whole lot of photos. Instead, I took a lot of video. I just find video to be more valuable when traveling. I’m working on putting together a small video from the trip so that you guys can check out how much fun we had.
It was a little family trip. Just my parents, my sister and I. It’s been a while since the four of us have travelled together. So, it was a blast spending a week chilling together on the most beautiful islands ever. I absolutely fell in love with Honduras, and already can’t wait to go back.
The weather by far had to be my favourite thing. 35+ degrees is my ideal temperature. The beaches, the food, the drinks, and most of all, the local people of these islands is what made my trip so memorable.
I’m back to the grind now. YAY MONDAY. (I’d really like to be sipping on a margarita on the beach right about now).
I spent the rest weekend snuggling on the couch and catching on up all the emails that I didn’t get to respond to in my 17.6 minutes. Clean inbox. Nothing makes me happier.
If you missed my vacation on Insta stories, don’t fret. Video coming soon! I’ll share more on the trip in another post with specifics.
As sad as it is to leave the white sandy beaches behind, I’m happy to be home and back to the grind!!
