I don’t know about you guys, but Christmas is my ALL TIME favourite time of the year.
Like really, nothing beats it.
There’s just something about all the Christmas music, the colourful decor, fir balsam candles, obviously the red coffee cups, cozy sweaters, yummy food, and of course family time. It’s all so lovely and cozy.
I like to take this time during Christmas to relax and enjoy doing absolutely nothing. I catch up on sleep, Christmas movies, reading, while I sip on tea, etc. I love looking back at old photos from the holidays as well. (Mainly to see how well I’m aging. Ha!)

My family is very big on Christmas traditions. Our faith is also very important to us, so on Christmas morning we all go to mass together at a small church near by. It’s really nice getting dressed up (see last year’s look) and having an hour together in silence. Once we’re done at church, we’ll all meet at someone house for lunch. It’s usually a very intimate gathering with close family and friends. Nothing too big. We like to spend moments like this with our closest family. My grandma is usually the life of the party. At 91, she’s got more energy than all of us put together! She’s usually on a real high when all her children and grandchildren are together. I don’t have any nieces or nephews, so Santa never makes an appearance. We usually have a spread of at least 7-8 dishes on the table. A mix of everything from pastas, to all kinds of meats, veggies, Indian dishes, and another table of just desserts. And of course, the bar is never closed. Overall, the afternoon is full of laughter. It’s one of my favourite days ever.
This time last year, I was actually celebrating Christmas in Sydney, Australia with my family. Which was MAGICAL, because it’s summer in Aussie at this time. It was weird having no snow. We went for my first cousin’s wedding.

Lots of new posts on the blog. Just wanted to catch you guys up on what’s been happening before I take an actual break from blogging.
This being the FIRST Christmas in my very own place, I’ll be doing quite a bit of hosting! I can probably do a whole post on quick and easy holiday hosting, but for now I’ll leave you guys with the most important part of hosting. The bar. Obviously it needs to be stocked up with all kinds of amazng goodies. Fruit bowls for garnishing, cute coasters, a pineapple martini shaker, gold rimmed glasses, unlimited lemons, and of course my favourite, Pure Leaf teas. These are so great for mixing. They come in all different flavours, and are literally perfect for every kind of drink. Try them out!
This vest. If you haven’t seen my post on this yet, check it out. I’m totally living in this vest. It seems to just go with everything. It’s the perfect grab-and-go piece. No effort needed. Also perfect for the holidays. I’m thinking a semi-tight black dress, this vest on top, and black suede booties? Yes, please. Don’t forget to accessorize.
The Pink Box! Or let’s just say, my favourite box ever. If you guys don’t know what this is all about, check out www.thisboxispink.com. Every box has a theme and is worth over $96 of goodies. You get such cute, unique things, and the best part is, that $1 from each Pink Box sold is donated to the charity, Because I Am A Girl, to help empower girls in developing countries. There’s no commitment, and you can opt out at any time. Its an amazing cause and I’m ALL for it!
And speaking of amazing causes, if you haven’t swung by the Vaughan Mills mall yet, please do so and lock in your love! Read my blog post on how you can make a difference by donating to SickKids Foundation.
Okay you guys, I’m really going to try and take a full on break during the holidays. It’s actually pretty hard for me not to blog. You can expect LOTS more posts to come in the new year!
The best way to keep up with me will be on Snapchat/Insta! Come along, say hi, tell me about your holiday traditions!
I hope you guys have an AMAZING Christmas and New Year! Lots of hugs and kisses to you!
